Tranced

Tranced is the story of a post-apocalyptic, alternate universe planet Earth which has been turned into an endless sea of sand after an invasion by a strange alien race known as The Thousand. This alien race travels from planet to planet, burying every civilization under miles and miles of sand, killing all life and creating a barren wasteland for their own race to thrive on.

Adell and his friend Ami are the two sole survivors of the alien attack that they know of, having been in flight during the attack, and having escaped the alien creatures that killed the pilots and the rest of the passengers. After exhausting the plane's supply of food and water, they search for a safe haven and any other humans that might have survived the attacks. During this time, Adell finds out about The Thousand and what exactly they are.

As the months go on, Adell discovers that this strange event wasn't a random choice by the aliens, nor was it a sheer stroke of luck that he survived. After communicating with a bright light one evening by a makeshift campfire in the cave where he and Ami are resting, he is filled with a desire to speak with the leader of the alien race and to see if there is any chance his planet can be saved. During their journey however, a voice continues to speak to him, and eventually Adell discovers the horrifying truth behind his world's fate.
